We believe it is important to foster fact-based communication about the role of plastics.

ALPLA is a global leader in the development and production of high-quality rigid plastic packaging solutions, operating 200 production sites across 46 countries and employing more than 24,000 people worldwide at the end of 2024. We specialise in innovative packaging systems, including bottles, closures and injection-moulded parts, and cater to a diverse range of industries.
ALPLA’s sixth Sustainability Report (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Report’) provides an overview of the company’s material environmental, social and economic performance during the 2023 and 2024 financial years. Notably, this marks the first year ALPLA has chosen to align its report with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), even though these standards will only become mandatory for ALPLA in 2028.
ALPLA’s Sustainability Statement reflects our commitment to the three pillars of sustainability: People (employee engagement and society), Planet (production and environment) and Profitability (economy and governance). Guided by a set of principles and measurable targets, we ensure that ALPLA ‘reflects sustainability in our actions’, as outlined in our Global Strategy 2026.
The circular economy is a key driver of ALPLA’s business and innovation. Guided by our ‘4Rs’ approach, we support customers in reducing material use, creating refillable and reusable packaging, designing for recyclability, and investing in mechanical recycling. We also explore bio-based materials and alternative packaging solutions to replace conventional plastics.
